#BanTikTok is trending in India, after influencer Faizal Siddiqui finally found a way to cross the line on the social network by producing a video that was lambasted as glamourizing acid attacks.
The platform actually took down the video which showed him seemingly recreate throwing acid in a woman’s face, who is then seen wearing heavy make-up to symbolize the injuries it would cause.
The National Commission for Women complained to the police about the video and Siddiqui later apologized to his 13.5 million followers, saying he didn’t mean to cause offense. Wonder what he did mean to cause, then?
