3g does use less battery than 4g. With the extra battery life you can use the extra time to download that Web page…

It does consume less battery but takes more time to download or load an webpage .

consume much DATA and BATTERY when you set your Mobile Data on 4G LTE but your home/place only available for 3G.

To avoid this, set your mobile data to 3G when 4G coverage is not available.

2-3g sucks on phone today
It takes longer and more hits to phone battery

Best performance is wifi
Then lte
And 4g

Note not all areas with 3g or 4g or LTE are created equal

You can have two different areas with Coverages but you will have different performance

Generally speaking LTE is best cell coverage
And wifi hands down better for battery

3G.. why not just go back to dial up? 3G is way too slow.
