    So one thing I discovered.
Samsung devices that had the headphone jack removed, not only don’t have the jack but they removed the DAC, which is the reason you cant just get a cheap usb-c to 3.5mm converter to work, you have to have a dongle with a built in DAC. ie The earbuds that came with the s20 series actually had a DAC built into the usb-c connector. That’s why the wired earbuds can receive updates when connected.

What I’m hearing is….yet another reason to get the V60 instead of an S20 😎

Doesn’t bother me not having the jack, just means my kids, can’t pinch my ear phones because they have older models

USB Audio in general is rather finicky on Android in general, the only app I’ve ever had work properly is USB Audio Player Pro. I switched to an iPhone though because the app has loads of issues streaming Tidal, which is how I listen to music (I know, I’m a traitor…). USB Audio seems like an afterthought on Android like Google never optimized the OS for it or something.

That’s one of the reasons I stick(ed) to Huawei. They removed the headphone jack a while ago but I can still use cheap adapters since Huawei still puts a DAC in their phones.

Good to know. Looks like I’ll be purchasing a 3.5 to usb adapter with a DAC when I get my Note 20 Ultra for my wired earbuds. I connect with LDAC to my home stereo and it has a really good DAC built-in.

You also void your warranty if you use a cheap adapter and something goes wrong
