    My IPhone 11 Pro max is not recording stereo sound when I use and external microphone which is connected to the phone via lighting adapter and TRRS cable and I think the problem is the lighting cable eventhough it is original cable that came with the phone. It records only mono sound very clearly even better than the internal microphone. And surely I had activated record stereo sound option from the settings. Did anyone has the same problem?

    Most probably your error analysis is correct about cable
