I need help. I have an unlocked iPhone 11. Was originally at&t and got it unlocked. It’s working with my carrier but I’m having an issue

I need help. I have an unlocked iPhone 11. Was originally at&t and got it unlocked. It’s working with my carrier but I’m having an issue updating to iOS 14.2. After it downloads the update it’ll then I go to click install now. It says verifying update but then something pops up saying Ilcsnt verify update because I’m no longer to connected to the internet. Meanwhile I am connected to the internet though…..please help.
