Has anyone had experience of running 2 tvs off one box? Understand it’ll be the same channel shown. But I’ve read things about hdmi splitter

Has anyone had experience of running 2 tvs off one box? Understand it’ll be the same channel shown. But I’ve read things about hdmi splitters and am not sure it will work?
Has anyone any advice?
(Its a largeish room needing a TV at either end for a one off event).
