Microsoft has updated its OneDrive Android app with improvements on user interface and security.
If you don’t know, Microsoft has its own cloud storage platform. All users with Microsoft account are entitled to get 5 GB storage for free. This cloud application is deeply tied to Microsoft’s own ecosystem, including user’s Office, Windows 10 and other application data stored in OneDrive, Office 356 subscribers will get 1TB storage for free.
OneDrive also has a pretty good Android version, but that doesn’t mean it has no room for improvements. Recently, Microsoft brought the latest update to its OneDrive Android app with some improvements.
The first is the security feature. Previously, OneDrive provided the ability to set a 4-digit password to ensure data security. The latest update brings a more convenient feature – fingerprint lock , now users can set a fingerprint lock for OneDrive to protect data. It is much faster than entering a 4-digit password.
In addition, Microsoft engineers have also improved the grid view of the app to better display photos, and new improvements will make it easier for users to view backups on photo options. You can download or update OneDrive from the Google Play Store.
