A foldable Huawei mobile phone featuring a Kirin 980 chipset has been exposed online today. The screen size of this foldable mobile phone is similar to that of a normal mobile phone, but the thickness is only half than that of an ordinary mobile phone.

Manufacturers must consider many things before making a foldable mobile phone. In addition to the need for a foldable screen, the issues related to the safety of battery should also be addressed. Previously, experts had carried out an experiment of foldable mobile phones and it was discovered that ordinary mobile phone batteries will short-circuit and open fire after repeated bending. Therefore, the foldable mobile phone should either be equipped with a battery that supports bending or the size of the battery should be reduced so that it can be plugged in an unfoldable portion of the mobile phone.
According to sources, Huawei’s foldable mobile phone will be equipped with the latest Kirin 980 SoC. The mobile will be powered by a 4 GB RAM and will have internal storage of 64GB. Talking about the camera, it will come with a 20-megapixel front camera and 20 megapixels rear camera. Huawei’s foldable mobile phone will also support wireless charging and facial recognition. It is expected that this mobile will be released in December this year. This new machine is jointly developed by Huawei and BOE.
