While Vivo X20 is expected to be the first Vivo smartphone to get the Oreo update in April 2018, other Vivo mobile phone models will be only getting the stable release. The oreo update will be pushed to your Vivo device once it is available.
Android 8.0 Oreo focuses on life, speed, and security. With the improvements from Android 6.0 to Android 7.0 improvements, Google is slowly moving Android system closer to iOS by increasing the restriction of App the in background during idle operation. This will up to some extent extend the battery life of Android phone in sleep mode, reduce the power used by the app in the background.
One of the major improvement seen in Android 8.0 Oreo update is that it ensures long lasting battery life without uninstalling any app from the device and without changing the habit of users, and the restriction of apps in the background will speed up the system performance.
